Rafting on the Vilcanota River

Rafting on the Vilcanota River is an adrenaline-filled experience, perfect for those who want to experience the Sacred Valley from a different perspective, navigating between rapids and stunning Andean landscapes. It is an ideal activity for families, groups of friends or adventurous travelers looking to combine nature, excitement and a different kind of day in Cusco. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 a.m. or in the Sacred Valley at 9:00 a.m., depending on where you are staying. When you arrive at the starting point, you will receive a safety briefing and an explanation of how the descent works, and you will be given all the necessary equipment: wetsuits and full safety gear. You will then board the raft to navigate the Urubamba River for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, enjoying three class 3 rapids that combine exciting stretches with calmer sections to appreciate the surroundings. At the end of the adventure on the water, you will share a picnic-style lunch to calmly wrap up the experience before returning. Once the activity is over, we will take you back to your hotel so you can rest after your day of rafting. It is important to note that all participants are responsible for having their own medical insurance for this experience.
