Important note about your entry time:
The entry time to Machu Picchu you selected when building your experience determines the logistics of your trip. Here's how each case works:
If you selected a morning entry time (AM shift)
Since trains to Aguas Calientes do not depart early enough to arrive in time for the morning shift, this circuit requires you to stay overnight in Aguas Calientes the night before. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, in the Sacred Valley (e.g., Urubamba or Ollantaytambo), or directly from Cusco Airport, and transfer you to the train station in Ollantaytambo to board the tourist train service in the afternoon or evening prior to your visit, arriving in Aguas Calientes with enough time to rest.
The following morning, very early, our team will assist you in boarding the first bus up to Machu Picchu, timed to your official entry schedule at the citadel.
If you selected a mid-morning or afternoon entry time (PM shift)
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, in the Sacred Valley, or directly from Cusco Airport, and comfortably transfer you to the train station in Ollantaytambo in the morning to board the tourist train service to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the Andean landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, our team will assist you in boarding the bus up to Machu Picchu, timed to your official entry time.
In both cases, inside the citadel:
We will enter Machu Picchu with the official ticket for Circuit 3 – Royalty Circuit, a route that explores the lower area of the citadel, where the enclosures inhabited by Inca royalty are located. From the agricultural sector, visitors enjoy a panoramic perspective similar to the iconic postcard view of Machu Picchu, while also accessing the religious sector with its main temples. This circuit is divided into four sub-routes (3-A, 3-B, 3-C, and 3-D), which will correspond to your ticket based on availability at the time of purchase. Accompanied by a professional guide, the base visit has an approximate duration of 1 hour, which may extend depending on the assigned sub-route.
Please note that you have a tolerance window of 30 minutes (low season) or 45 minutes (high season) from your official entry time to reach the entrance.
At the end of the visit (in both cases):
We will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to have lunch or stroll through the town before boarding the return train to Ollantaytambo. Finally, our transport will take you back to your hotel in Cusco, in the Sacred Valley, or to Cusco Airport, as applicable.
