1 / 24
Tour Description
Discover Lima’s “City of Kings” on a flexible private tour that starts with pick‑up from your Miraflores hotel at the time that suits you best, either in the morning or afternoon, or directly from the airport. The experience begins at Love Park, famous for its views over the Pacific Ocean and the cliffs of the coastal boardwalk, a perfect spot for photos, and continues on foot through Larcomar, a shopping center built into the cliffs overlooking Lima’s shoreline.
You will then head to Huaca Pucllana, a pre‑Inca ceremonial temple in the shape of an adobe pyramid that has been preserved even as the modern city has grown around it. Here you will learn about the importance of this religious and administrative center in the heart of today’s Miraflores district. Afterwards, you will cross into San Isidro to pass through the traditional El Olivar Park, a green oasis surrounded by old mansions and centuries‑old olive trees.
Later, we will arrive at Lima’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the original City of Kings flourished during the 16th century. We will visit Plaza San Martín and then Plaza de Armas, home to Lima Cathedral and the Government Palace, key settings in the country’s viceregal and republican history.
Finally, we will visit the Convent of San Francisco or its catacombs, exploring its cloisters, religious art and famous underground ossuary. The tour concludes with your return to the hotel.
