Experience one of Cusco’s most iconic hikes on a full-day private adventure to Rainbow Mountain, also known as the Mountain of Seven Colors. Its natural bands of red, green, yellow, and ochre create one of the most extraordinary landscapes in the Vilcanota Mountain Range.
As this is a private tour, you can begin your day at a more comfortable pace. We will pick you up between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. from your hotel or preferred meeting point in Cusco to begin the journey south of the city. You may have breakfast at your hotel according to your preferences, as breakfast is not included in this service.
Our first stop will be in Pitumarca, a traditional Andean village, before continuing by vehicle to the valley near Vinicunca, surrounded by mountains, llamas, and alpacas. From there, you will begin the hike to the Mountain of Seven Colors through impressive high-Andean landscapes.
We will proceed at a suitable pace, with stops to hydrate, rest, and enjoy views of the snow-capped peaks of the mountain range, including the imposing Ausangate. Upon arriving in the Vinicunca area, you will reach the main viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain, located at approximately 5,100–5,200 m above sea level.
You will have time to admire its striking bands of color, take photographs, and contemplate the Andean panorama before beginning the return hike along the same route. After the return hike, we will head to Pitumarca, where you will enjoy an included buffet lunch to regain your energy.
Finally, we will begin the return journey to Cusco, where we will drop you off at your hotel with memories of having visited one of the most impressive landscapes in the Peruvian Andes.
